There are some colon cleansers that contain chemicals which may only provide temporary results and have an increased risk of resulting in potentially harmful side effects. Natural ingredients come from herbs, roots and medicinal plant extracts.

You can keep your colon healthy in one very important way besides colon cleansing. That method is making certain that your diet contains plenty of fiber. A healthy daily intake of fiber is 20-35 grams and can be accomplished through eating lots of vegetables and fruits as well as bran, oatmeal and whole grain cereals.
