Eating healthy does not have to be complicated nor difficult. After you begin making healthy choices, and make it a habit, you don’t have to think about it again. Just have healthy food choices always available and the decision will be easy.
When considering a meal or a snack, always strive for a proper balance between a protein, carbohydrate and fat.
Have you determined for yourself your daily caloric consumption needs? I know that for myself if I’m trying to lose wight, I cannot consume more than 1200 calories per day. On the other hand, if I’m trying to maintain my current weight, I’m allow to consumer 1500 calories per day.
After you determine how many calories you should be consuming, you then need to divide the calories out over 5-6 small meals/snacks throughout the day. Don’t forget to compliment each meal/snack with the proper balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. I will give you an example of these choices to make during the day.
I like to take a minute and quickly mention something about portion sizes. Do you know what a serving of meat looks like? No, it’s not the 12 ounce Ribeye at your local steak house. A protein of meat is 3 ounces, the size of a woman’s palm.
VISUAL EXAMPLES OF DIFFERENT FOOD PORTIONS:
* 1 medium fruit — tennis ball or tight fist
* 1/2 cup of rice, pasta, cooked cereal, fruit, or veggie — cupcake size or tight fist
* 1 cup of salad — the amount you can hold in two hands cupped together.
* 1 medium baked potato — computer mouse
* 1 cup of cold cereal — large handful or tight fist
* 3 ounces of fish, meat or poultry — deck of cards or a palm of a woman’s hand
* 1 ounce of cheese — top half of your thumb or 4 dice
* 1 ounce of fish, meat, chicken or poultry — 1 egg
* 1 tsp — the tip of a medium-framed woman’s thumb. 3 tsp is equal to 1 tbsp
BREAKFAST:
It is important to start the day with a good breakfast. A good breakfast is needed to maintain level blood sugars throughout the morning. Try to keep breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the same calorie count and then add two to three snacks between meals to make up the 5-6 recommended meals.
Choose an item from each of the food groups for a healthy balanced breakfast.
Protein: 1 cup low fat yogurt, 1 oz of low fat cheese, 1 cup nonfat milk, 1 hard boiled egg
Carbohydrate: 1 slice of whole grain toast, bagel or muffin, 1/2 cup of whole grain cereal or oatmeal, or granola bar.
Fruit: 3/4 cup of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, 1/2 banana, small apple, orange, grapefruit,
LUNCH AND DINNER:
Preparing lunch and dinner is very simple. Pick a lean protein, add some vegetables and top it off with some fruit for dessert.
Choose an item from each of the food groups for a healthy balanced lunch or dinner.
Protein: Lean beef, pork, beans, chicken, fish, turkey, etc.
Vegetable: Cauliflower, green beans, spinach, zucchini, broccoli, and salad greens, etc. For a serving size, fill about 1/2 of your plate with vegetables, 1/4 of your plate with healthy carbohydrates, and the other quarter with a lean protein.
Carbohydrate: Brown rice, corn, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, 1 slice of whole grain bread etc.
Dessert: Pear, apple, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup of strawberries or raspberries with a dollop of nonfat whipped topping.
SNACKS:
Snacks between meals are what make or break the weight loss. You need to maintain your metabolism in between meals so that you continue to burn calories throughout the day. For your snack, consume between 100 to 125 calories.
Choose an item from each of the food groups for a healthy balanced snack.
Protein: 1 oz. low sodium, low fat luncheon meat, low fat string cheese, hard boiled egg, small yogurt cup, 1/4 cup of low fat cottage cheese.
Carbohydrate: 1 slice of whole grain bread, 1/2 banana, apple, grapes, plum, baby carrots, etc.
Healthy fats: 2 tbsp of peanut butter, handful of almonds, walnuts cashews or mixed nuts, 1 slice of avocado.
Doesn’t this sound easy? These are just guidelines for healthy foods. You do not have to eat the same thing every day. There are so many more foods then what I listed here but be creative. Try a new fruit and vegetable every week. Remember, this is easy!

The first and the foremost question, which comes to your mind, is that should you truly consider as to where to buy this product? Then the answer is NO, because all the acai berry products are definitely same everywhere as they are created equally. There are numerous factors engaged in the acai berry process, which the customers must know as to what they have to – look for prior to purchasing.
Due to the unexpected popularity of the acai berry, most of the firms are jumping onto the band – wagon in order to produce more and more acai products. This means that the customer has to do the homework for finding that manufacturer, who hasn’t opted for any sort of shortcuts in processing as well as ingredients. When we aren’t careful, then we would purchase a product which has lost the active properties or filled with fillers or contains unwanted chemicals.
Prior to purchase acai berry products, ensure the products matches these standards -
Authorized organic ingredients – At the time of utilizing non organic fruits, one can be exposed to numerous other chemicals (which is inclusive of pesticides). A legal company would give away a certificate in order to prove that their products are Certified Organic. The products, which are non organic antioxidants, could comprise of chemical herbicides, pesticides and more other toxins.
Acai should be processed in twenty four hours. Securely transporting these tiny gems are frequently known as The Crown of the Amazon, and doing this throughout the world is very difficult task. These superior potent acai berries begin to lose its helpful properties within twenty four hours from being pulled out.
Acai as well as other ingredients are not processed in a place like China. Most of the products which are availed in the market are processed in China and there, they utilize harsh chemicals and they have no regulation for utilizing pesticide nor do they have any organic guidelines. Acai berry processing plants of China frequently utilize unregulated fillers, soy as well as another chemicals in process of extraction.

Do I need a body detoxification cleanse today?
The new buzz around the health world in getting a body detox. Years of poor eating habits, low-fiber diets, environmental pollution, and stress cause the toxins to build up and eventually get absorbed back into the body. A toxic build up in our bodies may increase the risk of sickness and disease, so it is essential that our bodies properly eliminate the toxic build up in our colon and other organs.
These toxins affect adversely the functioning of our body organs, especially the functioning of vital organs such as the liver, the kidneys, and the colon. A toxic colon eventually leads to a toxic liver, which pollutes the tissues and the bloodstream, resulting in poor health. Our body organs and tissues must be free of toxins for the immune system to function optimally.
How Do I Know I Need A Body Cleansing?
You need to take action if you have one or more of the following problems. Diarrhea, impaired digestion, constipation, fatigue and low energy, gas and bloating, hemorrhoids, excess weight, food allergies, bad breath, foul smelling stools. These are only some of the symptoms.
Just like you car needs the oil changed regularly or your outside of your body regularly needs a washing, so does your internal body. Waiting too long or til you start experiencing some symptoms listed above, is not a wise idea. You will increase your risk of developing much more serious problems like cancer the longer you procrastinate your body cleansing.
Research clearly proves that our bodies are not capable of elimination all the different toxins and chemicals we inhale and ingest every day. They simply accumulate in our cells (especially fat cells), tissues, blood, organs (such as the colon, liver and brain) and remain stored for an indefinite length of time causing all kinds of health problems. A body detoxification cleanse will improve your health and boost immune system function.
